BraDec Holsters…don’t miss out
Holsters are the bane of my gun-owning existence. I can never seem to find the perfect one, and when I do, they usually break the bank. I have a box full of holsters sitting on my safe that will never be used—thousands of dollars invested in Kydex and leather, just withering away.
Yet here I am again, with a holster from yet another company. This time, something struck me about the brand, and I decided to dive deeper. I stumbled across BraDec Holsters during a forum search for my full-size RXM. I wasn’t 100% sure I’d want to carry the RXM daily, so I didn’t want to invest a ton of money. Plus, I wasn’t certain if the RXM would fit a standard Glock 17 holster and didn’t want to waste cash on a “maybe.”

The guys in the forum were raving about the fit and finish of BraDec, and then I saw the price: less than $50. Now, I’ve already told you I’m cheap. I had been looking at $25 holsters on Amazon, but after adding a wing and a Monoblock, the total would have been close to $40 anyway. I figured it was time to see what BraDec was all about.
The Deep Dive
My search led me to BraDec.com. The website is professional and easy to navigate. After selecting a Glock 17 holster and adding all the modifications I wanted, the total checked in at $39.00. I honestly couldn’t believe it.
I headed over to the “About Us” page and read about the owner, Brace DeClerk, and his mission to provide affordable gear. Still, the price felt too good to be true. I checked their Facebook page; while there were tags from customers, the page itself hadn’t been updated recently. In this economy, I worried they might have gone out of business. However, a quick Google search showed an active eBay store and a review from December 2025. I decided to take the plunge.
Speed and First Impressions
I placed my order on January 23. Within just a few hours, I received a shipping notification. I was dumbfounded; some major holster companies don’t even process an order that fast, let alone ship it.
Despite a “snowpocalypse” that kept the country homebound for five days, the holster arrived on January 29. I eagerly rushed home from work to see what my $39 actually bought me.
The Packaging: Inside the bubble mailer, I found my OD Green holster fully assembled with the Monoblock and wing. Brace even included a wing extension to make the “tuck” more pronounced.
The Build:
- Finish: All edges were perfectly rounded and smoothed.
- Footprint: The shape is as minimal as possible while retaining the ability to add a ModWing and adjustable retention.
- Fit: The molded fit to my RXM was so precise it felt like he had used my actual firearm as the mold.
- Adjustments: Out of the box, the retention was a bit tight for my preference, but a half-turn of the screws fixed it instantly.
The Field Test
I happened to be teaching a class that night, which provided the perfect testing ground. I added some Velcro for my wedge and hit the road.
Almost immediately, I could tell this holster was comfortable. The grip of the gun sat high enough above my waistline to afford me a full firing grip, while the ModWing tucked the stock nicely into my body line. The holster length sat right in the crease of my leg, allowing me to sit with as much comfort as one can while carrying a full-sized firearm.
I ran some draw work (with an unloaded RXM, of course). The holster performed exactly as I’d hoped. I was able to easily draw and re-holster, just as I’ve done with much more expensive setups. There was no hanging up, no collapsing, and no weakness in the shell. The full-length sweat guard is the perfect length, and the optic cut is plenty large for the Defender ST enclosed optic.
Even the truck ride was a breeze. Because the holster is thin, it didn’t add any unnecessary bulk to my already “girthy” waist. When I arrived at class, the Monoblock made it incredibly easy to dismount the holster and toss it in my bag without fighting my belt.
Final Thoughts
I am genuinely pleased to have spent my own money on this. I want to be clear: Brace did not pay me or comp this product for a review. One of my biggest gripes with the firearms community is people getting free gear and “talking it up” just to stay on the mailing list.
I don’t play that game. I’m like many of you—I work hard for my money. When I spend it, the product has to perform. BraDec is a “sleeper” company. Their quality, cost, and customer service put many larger companies to shame.
I was so impressed that I reached out to Brace, and he was kind enough to give us a 15% off discount code: BLUEJEAN15.
That additional 15% off brings a base holster with a Monoblock and wing to around $38, shipped! Go visit BraDec.com and use BLUEJEAN15 at checkout.
